Rating Module

SharePoint Rating Module will not be available for SharePoint 2010 as Microsoft finally added it to the core product.

You can download the solution package for 2007 version. The installation instructions are below. Click on an image to view it full size.

Installation Instructions

  1. Install PHRatingSolution.wsp
    • Copy the file into drive:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin folder on you server.
    • Run stsadm -o addsolution -filename phratingsolution.wsp
  2. Deploy Solution
    • Go to Central Administration > Operations > Solutions management and click on PHRatingSolution.wsp
    • Deploy solution to all web application where you want rating feature available:
    • IMPORTANT: For all web application where you’ve deployed the solution, change the trust level to Full.
  3. Activiate PHRating Feature at a specific site collection
    • At the root site of the site collection, click on Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Site Collection Features. Then click Activate next to PHRating.
  4. Enable Ratings in a specific list
    • From list or document library settings, select Enable/Disable Ratings
    • Choose settings for the list rating
